Veracruz start!

September 8, 2006

From our parent organization La Carrera Panamericana:

The decision is already taken. Veracruz is now the alternate city for the La Carrera Panamericana 2006 start.

In face the recent events in Oaxaca and after the last weekend pre-run of Operations Officer and Route Director. Victor Segura and Gael Rodriguez respectively which criteria has been evaluated and the final decision is now that the city for the start will be Veracruz. Now all Carrera participants are able to plan and pre-run the route – which has already been used back in 1998 – the rest of the Panamericana route (Puebla-Monterrey) remains with no significant changes.

The question concerning the Ferrari FXX.

September 4, 2006

The Unlimited Class at La Carrera Panamericana is very concerned that Ferrari is not going to “bring it” this year, so we have decided to offer up:

“If some Ferrari FXX owner wants to bring their FXX, their entry is free. 100%, not including getting the car there. It is the one marque not represented well this year at The Unlimited Class at La Carrera Panamericana and we are a tad bit disappointed. Wanna see if it wins 100K? There must be a Ferrari owner out there that wants to save the day and show that they aren’t all show pieces, right?”

Yes, The Unlimited Class will allow manufacturer plates.
