There is nothing quite as impressive as witnessing the Turismo Mayor class at La Carrera Panamericana let loose on the roads of Mexico. Beastly 500hp plus engines screaming in brute force strength, these cars pass by at maximum speed and the crowds go crazy!

Pierre de Thoisy and Frederic Stoesser, seen here in the featured picture of the day, were the overall winners of La Carrera Panamericana 2007 after battling Doug Mockett and Angélica Fuentes for seven straight days. It is quite an achievement to even participate, and Pierre now has one more overall winner awards on his long list of driving victories.

2008 will certainly be another year of daily podium trades between Frenchman Thoisy, B.V.I’s Mockett and Mexico’s outstanding driver Othon García!
