Hey I recognize those guys! Isn’t that passenger Jimmy Carter and I think the driver is Robin Williams. LOL.
That was such an awesome morning and when you look at the old photos of the Oaxaca arch back in the 50’s as compared to today one thing hasn’t changed… The smiles on the teams and the fans faces. The only thing missing was seeing Juan Fangio and Phil Hill drive thru.
What a treat it was hanging out with those two guys as well as the rest of The Unlimited gang.
The arch in Oaxaca….curiously, in one of the photos of the Mini going through the arch apparently the Mayor of Oaxaca was standing next to the driver’s side….pointed out to me by a friend who is the American Consul in Oaxaca after he’d looked at the pictures;-) That aside - first time I have been linked to Jimmy Carter in any fashion;-)
